Kilmarnock’s goal came from an error in the Saints defence when Brad Lyons headed Kilmarnock in front

St Mirren’s goal was an own goal when Scott Tanser’s cross was turned in by Kilmarnock’s Magennis.

The result however leaves St Mirren 2nd in the league on 15 points and their lead over Rangers increased to 3 points with Rangers losing today to Aberdeen.

The Buddies are four points off leaders Celtic.

Derek McInnes’ Kilmarnock remain eighth and are four points clear from the bottom spot.
